I started to respond, but really, if you haven't noticed an uptick in terrorist acts brought on by muslim extremists over the last couple of decades, then a cogent discussion doesn't seem possible.

Marvin & Sue. If it soothes you to deny that there is a serious and growing problem with Islamic extremists, then feel free to do so. Lets just hope that the powers that be are more attuned to the real world.

What am I denying? There are people shot and killed here all the time. Has jack squat to do with Islam, yet the same people in here talking about this won't say a peep when a home grown American walks into a school and shoots 27 kids and teachers just because they feel like it. Or when a dude slaughters over a dozen folks because he thought it would be cool.

There's a problem with extremists. And some of them claim to be Muslim. That's on them, not on Islam, because there are many Muslims practicing their faith the right way.

The latter are currently more tolerant about insults to their religion.

You can believe that if you want. Islam takes a beating here regularly, yet the one Muslim that is in this Forum doesn't go around calling for blood, nor stoops to violence for solving problems.

Naturally if you're one of many law abiding Muslims, you're essentially being defamed by the idea that Muslims are 'the enemy'.

Not really. I like how some people view VJ as a school yard and you're somehow contemptible if you 'snitch'. The complete opposite philosophy behind the idea of site moderation.

If only some folks didn't get so carried away then I guess they would end up on the receiving end of a virtual cane acriss their virtual buttocks.

If you're getting genuinely steamed up by words written on obscure message boards by strangers then its probably time to go out and get a life.
