Yeah, until hockey enters the conversation hahahaha

Just my saying that might get me cross checked when I leave my house.

I'd be more worried about the hip checks. When you get cross checked you just go down. With a hip check you fly for a little while first.

They do love their hockey...but I have to admit, Joel is pretty calm when we're watching hockey. :)

Definately! It's in the plans...y'all might like to come see a Gwinnett Gladiators game too, they play in Duluth, just outside Atlanta. We could make a weekend of it :)

ok... so after reading all this thread so far... i see reasons to change and reasons not to change...

i personally changed my name... i get ####### for it at work often from one of my friends... she constantly says women shouldnt do so, because they lose their identities and its oppressive to women... so, she never changed her name... great for her... works for her... i like sharing my husbands name... the way i see it, among many other reasons, he gave up his country to be with me, i can get rid of my exhusbands name and take his... he is so happy that i am proud to have his name... so it works for us

im also surprised that noone mentioned the religious (christian - i cant speak for others) reason:

Genesis 2:24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall become united and cleave to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

one way to symbolize the union of a family is to take a name together to communicate to the world they are one... i suppose it could be either the man or the womans...

anyway, i just think its interesting that didnt even come up in this thread yet

and only then, will you find the meaning of happiness."
