My brother is a lobster fishermen and he has a few 12+ lb lobsters and no buyers........

really? holy cow 12+lb lobsters. where he live at? I would love to eat one of those- oh hell make it a double.

thats a buffet in itself. wowow.

You do realize that a 14 lb lobster costs about $62, and that is off the wharf too, not reseller prices.

Actually, the meat on such a big lobster is supposed to be really tough. I wouldn't know because I don't eat the filthy cockroaches :)

:( tough or not I would naw on him. 62.00 i can save up that. do they have lay - a - way?

ok go to El FENIX..grab mexican food. that was last nights dinner plan coz of the special

btw, what about hot sauce. you like hot sauce Mercury?

If it's Pace then no thanks, but I like the Picante stuff when everything is really fresh. Yum.

EL FENIX???

Awww.....que ricos.......mi amor says that all the time. Now I miss her AND I'm hungry. Dude, what's up with the torture.

Nope sorry.... jumbo lobsters don't keep well and usually die within a week of being caught.

Since it's St.Patrick's Day next week:

Dublin Lawyer

This dish is delicious and traditional - a happy combination - though its expensive ingredients make it a rare treat rather than an everyday affair. For the best flavor the fish has to be freshly killed just before cooking. Plunge a sharp knife into the cross on the back of the head. Slice in half lengthwise and crack open the claws. Remove all the flesh and cut into large chunks. Keep both halves of the shell for serving.

1 live lobster, about 2 lb

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup Irish whiskey

1/2 cup whipping cream

salt and pepper

(serves two)

Toss the lobster meat in foaming butter over a medium heat for a few minutes until cooked. Take care that the butter does not burn. Add the whiskey and when it has heated up set light to it. Pour in the cream, heat through and season.

Serve in the half shells with plainly boiled fine beans.

Oh I had some of them fresh lobsters, when I was in Nova Scotia this past Christmas...my mother in law and father in law (to be) stuffed them with this stuff called "tom alley"....one of those things ya don't want to know what it is, til after you've eaten it.

Did your mother in law stuff them with something that they made with the tamally that comes in the lobster Karen.

Dont tell me you ate that green stuff or the red stuff Karen. Tell me you didnt

When is lobster season where you are Joel. Its from May 1st to the end of june where i lived in Nova Scotia. My ex husband is a lobster fisherman too. My youngest used to go out with him sometimes and would take home lobsters for working the day with his dad. I have a picture somewhere of my son with the ones he caught. Both my sons love lobster. I dont really care for them.. But I do like to make a sandwich out of the tail meat.
