how long to cash the check?

Hello everyone

I was debating filing since i may move

but since the prospect is distant and no promises from my employer. I went ahead and filed since I have been living in CT for the past two years.

I mailed the packet to the TX location with Fedex over night - and I received confirmation that it arrived Friday 12/5

but it was a personal check, would that delay getting any notification from USCIS

There is no delay or difference if its a personal check. You may actually notice through your bank online faster then USCIS notifies you. If you look at other's timelines you should get an approximate time - maybe a week-ish?
