NOA2 Expires

We got our interview date today (SO EXCITED).

It's scheduled for March 5th, but our NOA2 expires on February 25th. Is there something we need to do to get it extended? Are there any cases where an earlier interview date was given to beat the NOA2 expiration? (I'm sure I read something like that happening, but not sure where).

Just wondering what others' experiences were like.

(I'm sure this is a repeat question. I did a quick search but didn't find an answer. Thanks for your help and sorry for asking a question, if it's been asked a million times before!)

The consulate can extend validity period for another 4 mos.

YMMV

Thanks, is there something we need to do to have that done OR does it happen automatically?

I posted this same thing and was told the NOA2 expiration is more of a deadline for the Embassy to get your interview date out. It doesn't need to be current for anything except for them I believe. Don't hold me too it, that was just what I was told. Our interview is on Feb 8. Apparently though, if they need to the UK does it automatically (as in applies for an extension for you).

I believe if the NOA2 has expired by the time of the interview, they still consider you active if they've received forms from you, etc. I guess that means they grant an 'automatic' extension.

At the interview, take updated letters of intent from both parties, reconfirming your intent to marry upon entry into the US.

I think the sum of all those things negates an outdated NOA2.
