lost marriage license

hi,I have my interview in January but I can t find the original marriage license, I have a copy(the copy we got with the license the day we got married ) of it can I use that?thank you

I'm not sure if a copy will suffice or not, but as another poster said, you can request a new "original" which will actually be a certified copy.

Also, make sure you ask for the right thing. There's a difference between a marriage license, which allows you to get married, and a marriage certificate, which proves that you are married.
