called the NVC regarding my mother's case after there were multiple updates this month, got the same lady twice. She was nice enough to tell me that the embassy wants to know whether my mother has ever been issued a 'dip passport' which is probably short for diplomatic. my mothers an above 50 house wife, why on earth would she ever be issued a diplomatic passport. This was a week ago, but got no email or call from the embassy. I mean its just an email they have to send, and they delay it for a week. Delays like these probably add up to years of AP.

Also, it seems like having the congressman's office contact the embassy does make them do some work.

NVC knows everything, they just pretend they dont, everytime I call, they say its under review , or sometimes say they cant see whats going on, it just depends on the operator, I have noticed male operators at NVC are more helpful then female ones.

I have a question for those that have traveled to the US on Spouse Visa (I130). Some airports have a Pre-Clearance where you have to check-in before boarding a US Bound plane.

My wife who's visa was recently issued and given to her via a courier; she will have to go through the Pre-clearance would she hand over the sealed envelope she received to the counter in Abu Dhabi? If if they open and keep it, will it cause issues when entering the US?

Anyone who's gone through this process please discuss!

Allhumdulilah Visa Issued on 29th jan

Got passport today ....

Its been a long journey for me and my husband . I joined this forum when there was visa tracker part 2 i was mostly a silent member.

For those still waiting for a call for medical submission. I would say email the embassy, contact your senator or congressman for help and hope for the best and for those already scheduled for fingerprints and oath, Best of Luck :)

Alhamdolillah case got 2 updates on 2nd and 3rd February (today). Passport is expired and is with the embassy. With my fingers crossed, I am unable to understand what does that mean to have 2 consecutive updates in 2 consecutive days.

Many congratulations to salsan77 and best wishes and prayers with all of you my brothers and sisters wherever you are and whatever category you are under.

Alhamdolillah my case got another update (3rd time) during this month. 2nd, 3rd and 4th February. I dont know what does that mean but I would simply say thanks to Allah SWT for whatever is happening as everything happens for a good reason.

I wish I get a visa as my wife is mentally exhausted due to stress she is having at work and the nature of job (healthcare) she cant take leave with pay to visit Pakistan. We have been put to this test and I pray that Allah SWT succeed us in this test.

Special Note: All those who have interest in dogs must come to Islamabad on 7th February as German Shepherd Club of Pakistan is arranging a dog show for Seiger Pakistan at Gun and Country Club Islamabad. It would help you relax and enjoy a day with man's best friend with lots of exciting stuff. It is a good activity for those who are stuck in AP for such a long time as few moments of joy would ease the pain.
