Expedite Request for Financial Reasons

Hello VJ Members!

My wife would like to apply for an expedite request with the NVC in terms of our I-130 petition with the reason being financial related. She is currently unemployed in Thailand because the contract at her workplace ended on August 31. She has no income and is getting no financial help or support from her family members. She is living in a shared apartment and can barely afford to pay rent for another month. I am her only support and we were hoping that she would have already been in the US by October. Is this an adequate reason to apply for an expedite request? Any thoughts would help.

Our Timeline:

Got married in Bangkok: March 14th, 2014

Receipt Date: April 16, 2014

NOA2 Approved: September, 19th

NVC Received file: October 27th, 2014

We're still waiting on a case number.

No it is not, sorry.

Financial expedites are notoriously difficult to get approved, I know of 2 in all my years on VJ, and both were extreme cases. Also keep in mind that the hardship must be on the US citizen, not the potential beneficiary.
