New here and seeking advice

Hi all,

I am an American citizen currently living and working in Ireland, married to an Irishman. I plan to transfer to the U.S. in 3 years with work. Has anyone been in this situation before? I am not sure how this works with my employer transferring me. Any advice?

First of all, let me say welcome to the site! I'm sure others will have tons of advice for you, but what I can say is that you've come to the right place. It's hard to tell from your post, but I'm guessing that you'll want your husband to come with you when you transfer your job? He'll need an immigrant visa in order to do so, and the guides on this site are very helpful in order to get you started. The process for married couples is pretty straightforward, and you'll have the added benefit of being with your loved one during the process. Since you're talking about something that would happen three years from now, you've got plenty of time to get everything that you need in order.

So, in short, my advice is to follow the guides on this site and enjoy the time with your husband during this process.
