I-131 Application for Travel Document Question

Good Morning

My fiancee and I are finishing up the Adjustment of Status paperwork, and we're slightly stumped in regards to the I-131 form.

Our concern is is it worth filling out the I-131 form if we don't truly have a direct reason to fly out of the country, other than to visit her family if she gets homesick?

No relatives are near death bed (thankfully!)

No out of country honeymoon plans

No work reasons to leave the country

No Holiday plans (they understand she's on parole until approval)

No really set plans either

We were thinking she might like to visit home during the late summer or early fall of next y ear, but there are no set travel plans either (yet the form requires dates and a letter explaining why)

Is it worth requesting or is this a frivolous reason?

Did anyone else face issues like this and get the AP?

Readiness of Action form submitted: 3/11/2014 (original medical date of 3/12 delayed...)
Medical in London: 4/16/2014
Packet 4 received: 4/28/2014
Interview date: 5/12/2014 APPROVED!!! 

Enter US:  August 2014

Married:  October 2014

Adjustment of status paperwork sent:  End October 2014

Biometrics:  November 2014

Letter from USCIS telling us backlog, expecting an answer in 6 months:  Feb 2015

Interview with USCIS:  August 2015.  Agent says will be approving

Receive Greencard:  Sep 2015

File for Removing of Conditions:  7/27/17

NOA1 Letter:  Dated 8/1, receive 8/5

When filed with the I485 it is free...if you find you need it in a few months (AOS can take a while in some areas/cases), you may have to pay for the application separately.

Visiting family is never frivolous...family is the most important thing in the world (after all, aren't you working to create your own?) and it is normal to want to visit, especially since you never know how long these processes can take...even more so as we approach the holidays.

It's free. It's easy to fill out. You don't have to have a good reason or specific travel plans. Crazy not to fill it out.

People die tragically, even non-elderly fit parents and siblings.
