So I was engaged to a girl and we got approved and she had her letter to make her appointment with the Embassy. Before she made her appointment I visited her again. While I visited her she threw a wine bottle at my head... I threw on some close to get out of the hotel room so if the cops would get called there would be no way they could say I did anything wrong. She appolgized and begged me not to go. We finished the weekened together but I knew when I got home I was done. We never used the approval and made an appointment because I was never going to marry someone that would make me feel like I was domestically incarcerated. Since then I have had other trips with other girls and I have found one that either does not have that good of a throwing arm (LOL) or is more calm. I am going to start the papers and send them in first part of December.

How much will it hurt me in the process that I had that approval and never carried it through?

Also... I am putting all the money in savings now for the trip to the embassy (Bogota if it matters) what are the costs that are visa related that I will need to move asside. She has a 4 year old daughter so I assume that all the costs will be double which is fine... I love her daughter like my own so cost is just a number when it comes to getting her here.

Also... My girl has the daughter's birth Certificate. The father is not on it. He pays nothing for the child? Cares nothing for the child So do I need to put his information the I 129F or since he is not on the daughters birth cert... We are good to go with out him.

was the old petition canceled ? or you will need to cancel it before starting another.

there is only a couple of the fees doubled that i have understand, visa fee and medical then adjustment of status i think? to file the 129f is just the one fee

as for the birth certificate the father isnt on there and he has no contact, but in my opinion i would say getting a notorized statement for your fiance to remove from the country cant hurt, just incase then you know what your up against if he refuses,. just because he isnt on the birth cert. there has to be a father somewhere might be how embassy thinks ?? this just my opinion is all from what i have read and what i speculate . i am going through the same thing sorta just file for my fiance and her daughter

How long ago was the previous petition? And yes, you need to get it withdrawn, if it was quite recent.

My gut tells me that your new petition will not be looked on favourably if you recently filed the same petition but for someone else. However, if you're sincere about this new girl, want to be together and get married, then all you can do is file the petition and see what happens. Though personally, I'd wait until there's a good 2-5 years and numerous visits between petitions before filing again.

Alternatively, if you're serious about each other, get married first, commingle lives and file the petition for an alien spouse rather than an alien fiance(e).

I just found out that... As far as the time line goes I will have to request a waiver. So my paperwork just requires another form. I do not see this being an issue. I was responsible wiht the visa and did not complete it being I knew that the relationship was not going to be successful after having a wine bottle thrown at my head.
