I130 - Please Help Us

Hello Everyone,

I am citizen of India and My wife is US Citizen. She filed my I-130 (along with the other Biometric Form) in August and on 13th August we received I-797C (Notice of Action)

The I-797C lists:

Priority Date: August,12,2014

Preferable Classification: 201 B INA SPOUSE OF USC

In the end of August (around 22nd or so) , my wife (home/landline number) received a call from USCIS (1-800-375-5283) that they want to talk to her father. Her father was at office at that time so my wife told the representative to call later. They never called up.

In September too, USICS called the landline/home number and my wife picked up. Again they asked whether her father is available but the father was again in office so my wife told the representative to call her. Again, they never called back.

We tried reaching the Customer Care but they never answered anything explanatory. They just that if you have filed then ideally you will be contacted.

Has anyone went to the same thing? I am so confused about all this.

USCIS dashboard lists - ( within 7 days, status went to 'alien registration number changed'?

What is the processing time for I-130? It has been 3 months now.

If anyone can explain what are the future steps ( either taken by me or USCIS) with rough timelines, I will be really grateful to you.
