Hi all,

my grandma is visiting her daughter and son in the States with B-2 visa which expires in January. I would like to help her to extend her visa and I was wondering what is the procedure and time frame.Based on my research, She needs to file I-539 and explanation of financial support and reason for staying. Are there any checklist and template of these explanation and how can she provide financial record since she is already in the States?

Please help! Thanks in advance:)

Will vary by individual

On line bank statement's. Medical evidence etc.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

what if she does not have an online bank statement? she is old and I don't think she has an online bank. She does not have any medical reason, but just want to stay longer to spend warm winter in the States(NC) since winter in Northeastern part of China is too cold. Do they actually take this kind of explanation ?

If she has no intention of coming back any time soon I see no downside.

Sorry for this irrelevant reply ... I tried to find how to post here but could not get anything ... so writing my query here.

I have my US VISA interview in Vancouver (CANADA) on 12-Nov-2014. Do I need an MRV fee receipt separately or the fee receipt number mentioned in the appointment confirmation suffice for the VISA interview. In case I need a separate MRV fee receipt, then how can I get it.
