EAD returned to USCIS as Undeliverable

Hello friends;

Once again i am here to seek your suggestion. here is my situation.

"My EAD/AP was approved on Oct 3, 2014 and was due to be delivered to my address on Oct 11. Despite of changing my address on my case USCIS sent it to my old address anyways it was returned to USCIS and they notified me to update address which i already did . On Oct 27, 2014 USCIS case status notifies that Card has been sent wait 30 days"

I was in impression that i would get it in 2 days like other priority mails but its been a week so started searching VJ for same situations and that search made me worried . Other members had the same situations as well in 2006, 2008 2010 etc and most of the cases they waited 30 days but card didn't come so they called USCIS again and were told to wait 45 more days (strange) and in the end they were told to deposit fee for the card to be processed means their cards were somehow lost by USCIS .

I have job offer waiting for me and i might lose my job offer if the same situation happened to me (God forbid) . Anyone can suggest what should be done in such a situation? Calling USCIS 1-800 number is waste of time and "Info Pass" made me and my laptop tired but there are no appointments.

Since it is already approved but i dont have the card yet can my employer verify that i am allowed to work and can i start working???

What did you end up doing? this same thing just happened to us. We did a change of address but USCIS sent it to the old address and the EAD could not be forwarded. After about a month the card got back to USCIS and they said to wait another month for the card to be re-sent...is that really how long it will take?

We moved twice and USCIS sent it to our first address, and the post office then lost it, as you're not supposed to forward express mail or something like that. Call USCIS and bug them, report it lost on their website here; https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.doIf you have a job offer, tell them that you have a job offer and you need it ASAP..

In my case they told me they sent it to my new address(...tracking showed it was 5 hrs away in our old town..and after I got it at the new address, it had the old envelope with the OLD address...) and told me that I would need to refile, this time paying for it. I filed it as lost, kept calling, and contacted ombudsman.

After your card gets sent back they *should* send it out pretty quick...I'm not sure if mine was a result of that, or a result of ombudsman..but either way I FINALLY have it in hand...But a full month after it was sent out the first time.

FYI, I'm still getting USCIS mail at the old address and I had to put in ANOTHER request to have it updated today(over the phone), so you should probably do that, too.
