NVC Checklist

Hi, I just got the checklist of OSA and reads as follows:

I'm from Puerto Rico, I don't require to fill federal taxes, just PR taxes. The co-sponsor is my father and he is retired and receives Social Security.

CHECKLIST FOR SPONSOR

In Part 6. Sponsor's Income and Employment, please correct the following...

[x] Item 13.a. You must include your ____2013____ tax and income information.

  • I submited my past 3 years income tax from Puerto Rico. I live in PR not in the US.

[x] Items 13.a.1. The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal

income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead.

  • My total gross as stated in the W2 was of $6,649 dollars for 2013.

You must submit the following financial evidence:

[x] Proof of current employment (examples: a recently dated job letter, pay stub, or a copy of your business license).

  • I'm very angry, because I remember that I sent those evidences. I sent a letter from my current job and the last two paystubs.

CHECKLIST FOR CO-SPONSOR

Supporting Documents Missing or Incomplete

[x] A written statement/explanation is required if you are/have been unemployed, retired or dependent as to why

tax returns were not filed.

  • My father receives Social Security for retirement.

[x] The listed income tax documents/IRS statements for the years marked below are missing/incomplete (if you

have lost any of the requested tax information, contact your local IRS office to obtain a copy) (Only Federal

returns (not state or local) are acceptable unless the sponsor's income was earned in Puerto Rico.)

• Federal income tax returns, literal printouts from the IRS (RTFTP) or a Letter 1722 issued by IRS

are missing/incomplete for the year(s): [x] 2013 [ ] 2010 [ ] 2009 [ ] 2008.

  • He doesn't have to fill a income tax because he receives Social Security. What do I have to do?

Part 1 Information on the Household Member

[x] ___CO-SPONSOR NAME_'s income indicated on line 11 of the I-864A does not

correspond to that shown on the most recent tax return and W-2(s).

  • He does not receives W2 or have to submit income tax he just received the letter of benefits received for that year.

Any help will be apreciate.
