obtain passport for new born baby!different country-need help

Hi fellas,

So after done with searching and everything, there is an option for me to do the labor in my home country,Indonesia.however,it's easy for me to obtain Indonesian passport for my baby.my question is,i will fly with my baby to China because we live there with my hushband(US citizen).could we obtain US passport in China or we have to obtain US passport in Indonesia since the baby born in Indonesia?thank you!

It would be best to apply for the baby's passport right away, so I would do it in Indonesia and get that out of the way. Contact the American embassy over there about how to get the CRBA and passport for the baby. Or you can check the embassy's website at travel.state.gov

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Ok.so when we apply for the passport we need my hushband to fly to Indonesia as for the interview or we can do it with affidavit only?

You need to do this in Indonesia if the child was born there.

In my situation, my child was born in the UK however he now resides in Jakarta. I submitted the application in Jakarta with only a non-usc parent present. the USEM sent the application back to UK as he was born there. I was told that it could take several months.

So best to do this in Indonesia.
