I-131 K-1 AOS

Hi all I have been reading about AOS after marriage with K-1 and on form I-131 Part 3 Question 1 States: Date of Intended Departure__________ Question 2- Expected Length of Trip __________ How would you answer these if one really does not plan to leave except for a family emergency? Also,on the I-131 Supplement it asks Description of Travel.

The reason of travel would be Mother or Father became very ill or past away. They are both in their 80's. Thanks for some input.

The sample form they have on here has a trip on it, but I'm not sure what people put in it if they don't need to travel. It's possible that it may be left blank, but someone who knows for sure can tell you soon. Good luck.

Part 4?

As per the instructions on page 3 of the form, you don't need to complete that unless you are a DACA recipient. If you are adjustment from a K-1, you skip straight to Part 7.

just put "unknown" in those boxes, that information is not necessary for a I-131 petition that is part of a K-1/I-485 AOS package. Don't forget to apply for the I-765 EAD which is also free to file along with the I-485 package.
