I have a myspace account but it's just for my fiance to read only. A place to share thoughts or what have you. :)

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

Happy saturday everyone. It's so grey here in New York/New Jersey I think we're getting snow today/tomorrow. Anyways, I'm not about doing much at all today. It's the first weekend back since seeing my fiance. Last saturday this time I was crying because I knew I'd be leaving the next day. Its always hard the first few days back I guess, but at least this time I came back and filed our packet.

I may try to catch a movie this afternoon - I don't know why I prefer going to the movies alone once in a while.

Enjoy everyone.

I am at a loss here for what to do. I guess make a list. I could start shopping for gifts for Mohammed's family. A few laps around the mall would be good exercise. Hubby just left for work and I have 13 hours to myself.

#1 buy coffee

#2 buy laundry detergent

#3 ok so at least I thought of two things to do today.

My betta fish is sick :crying: I rescued it from Walmart. It was living in a little dish. So I brought it home and put it in my 29 gallon tank with my platy and mollies. Well, it was an attack fish and killed my white fish!!!!! To save my other fish I bought a $20 divider to keep mr. betta separate. Well, that side of the tank got too dirty and it took room away from the other fish. Now comes a $25 two gallon tank for mr. betta to live in. Three weeks later he's looking sick and weak from being in a little tank. I get out my old 10 gallon tank and set it up for him. (a lot of work here for a $3 fish!) I put him in the larger tank and now he's sideways and not looking very well. I don't want to mercy kill him cuz he might get better, but as of now, I don't know if he will make it. to be continued...........

Jackie (F)

Beta fish actually do well in small places, it doesn't matter if the tank is large or small. Maybe you could set some water out tonight and put him in a smaller tank?

That's my favorite too!!!! My husband hates horror movies, so I either go see them with my best friend or alone. Havne't been able to see any since the Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel though.

The Hitcher got pretty bad reviews. I liked the original of that. I think The Messengers and Hannibal Rising will be good, but I don't think they're out yet.

Have fun whatever you decide to see!

Boo hiss I'm at work today for a few hours. Youssef decided to stay up until 3am watching a movie (mind you he was not taking care of the baby - he was sleeping in the bedroom with me), and then at 8am this morning when everyone was getting up he said "Oh I'm so tired, I hardly slept at all." I just wanted to say "well ya dummy you have to sleep with the baby sleeps!" But i'm so nice I let him sleep in until 11:30 but then I had to get moving to go to work. Tonight I'm making msemmen to keep in the freezer so he can pop some out during the week while I'm at work. Tomorrow I'm going to make a chicken b'stilla, harirra and some salads to keep in the fridge for the week. I might make some hummus too. We'll see how things go. So few hours of work, off to the store and home. I might clean the house tonight/tomorrow too (folded 5 baskets of laundry this morning argh!!)

May 11 '09 - Case Approved 10 yr card in the mail

I think you need to teach your husband how to help you around the house!!!!

You have a new baby and you're back to work and still doing everything!

I think you're going to burn out fast if you keep it up.

Or tell him you need a maid. :D

I have myspace and that is where Rida and I met. As for the fish, did you treat the water when you changed the tanks? I have always treated the water before putting them into new water to help neautralize the chlorine and anything else that may bother them.

Hello everybody! After spending almost the last 48 hours straight running around the hospital like a bandit trying to save my patient, he's doing better today!!!! He might make it after all. It was an awful 2 days, but if he makes it it will all be worth it. I just woke up from my post-call sleep and we're going to do some errands, then celebrate our anniversary. It's tomorrow, but Maj has to work, so tonight's the night.

It may be grey out but the world's looking a lot better today :D
