Peru - Criminal Background Doc Requirement

Hi VJ members,

I sent my packet in to the NVC last week and for the criminal background documents, I sent in the Antencedentes Policiales (Police background) and Antecedentes Penales (Penal Background), but I was reading in the VJ Peruvian Embassy page that Antecendentes Judiciales (Judicial background) are also required? How will this affect the process? After 60 days are they going to ask for this document and take another 60 days? Is it not required? Will we need to bring it to the interview? Thanks!

You will defintely need Antedencentes Judiciales too, but I don't know if NVC will delay assigning the interview just because of it. I have seen other treads here on VJ where other applicants got a letter (not for Peru, but other countries) where NVC scheduled their interview at the embassy and ask the applicant to bring the missing document if any or checklist of documents to the interview. You will definitely need the third document at the interview as the CO will ask for it. I don't know if anyone else has experience this with NVC with the US embassy in Lima requirements. I hope NVC just complete your case and schedule the interview date and just asks you to bring the document to the interview instead of requesting you to send it to them first. Best of luck to you :-)
