Visa issued, POE question

Hello everyone!

Today is a pretty exciting day, after going through administrative processing they've finally issued my visa, should get my passport next week probably.

But I have a question: does it matter which POE we'll be at? Our address for the greencard is set to NY and my wife's family is still living there, but we were thinking about moving elsewhere and renting an apartment in a different state. I am aware that I need to notify USCIS within 10 days of changing my address, but I was just curious if people at the POE will ask us why are we not in NY.

Thank you!

Don't think it matters at all. POE is the first airport in the U.S. you arrive at. You'll go through immigration there. Many people have one or two more connecting flights.. so somebody might enter the U.S. in Atlanta or Chicago, but end up in Arkansas or Montana after connecting flights. Don't think the Immigration Officers look at that at all.

Edit: typo

It doesn't matter for POE. As a matter of fact USCIS told me that I could wait past the 10 day until I settled in my new home before changing my address once I could receive mail at the original address provided (we were transitioning to a new apartment). You can always call them to verify though.
