When did visa status change to "Issued"?

I am wondering when I should expect my fiance's visa status to change from "AP" to "Issued". We were put into AP following our interview last month due to a missing document. My fiance returned the requested document on Monday, Oct 6 and was told to return on Tuesday, October 14.

Maybe I am getting stressed for no reason but I am worried that the visa will not be ready for my fiance (who is traveling from Holguin) on the 14th. Our status on the CEAC website is still AP. And the Interests Section is closed today and Monday for holidays.

For those who have already received their visas, could you share when your visa status changed on the CEAC website? Was it the day you were told to come pick it up? Or did it change before the assigned pick-up date?

Good morning Lorella,

Have you called the consular in Havana to find ou the status of your fiance's visa?? If so what number did you call? If you got thru was the information helpfull? I am asking because my fiance is supposed to go pick up his visa tomorrow as indicated on his pass. I am tempted to call the consular office today to check on the status but don't want to spend time on hold waiting and then not get any information (plus the cost of phone call).

Thanks,

~Marta

i have not been successful in calling the interests section in havana. before my fiance's interview, i tried to call to confirm the interview date. i did a search here on VJ and found several numbers that people said worked for them. but none of the numbers worked for me - the calls would not go through. has your visa status changed on the CEAC website?

The status on the CEAC site says "Issued" created on 10/17/14 and updated 10/21/14 the interview was on 10/16. This morning I called the NVC 603-334-0700 after a few tries the person on the line asked me what did the consular officer tell my fiance at the interview and I said he was told to come back on October 30 to pick up his visa, the NVC rep told me then it should be ready to pick up on that day. I told him other ppl have been told to come back in two or three weeks even thou the CEAC site says issued and he basically said that every case is different. I was temted to call consular office in Havana but at this point I just have to wait for the news tomorrow. By the way, when your fiance had his interview was he asked when is the wedding day??
