I am posting here after a short while..

My petition got upgraded to IR. Now they(USCIS) are saying my PD(3 FEB when F2A) is also changed to the day my petition got upgraded (30 OCT) and I need to wait for 4 more months for the approval. Meantime I tried a B1B2 and got denied(they are not even bothered about what I have to say or documents which I submitted). :)

I think you should do a walkin appointment at a Field office near your wife's residence. She can take all the paperwork. People handling your case might be too junior and would have sent you a template of email. Do not worry. You do not have any waiting time. If i were you, i would go to the US embassy near my location and explain them what has happened. They can easily handle it there. Its very unfortunate that even my file is lying at vermont application center.

Thank You

Anand

I'm in a similar position as you "avpin". When I upgraded my husband's I-130 petition they said my priority date was no longer May 30th (as F2A) but now it will be Nov 21st (IR) since I have become a USC. VSC told me it would be an additional 5 month processing time also. Just been waiting patiently...
