What will I send for supporting evidence along with the forms I fill out for the I-864? I see on the forms it just says to send W2 and 1040's for the most recent year of tax returns. Is that all?

Thank you!

Don't bother with w2 and 1040s. USCIS prefers tax return transcripts. Get yours today at http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

Only the most recent year is required.

Past three years is extra credit.

You need a copy of the most recent complete tax return with all forms, schedules, attachments, W-2s and/or 1099s, or an IRS tax return transcript.

You should also submit proof of current income such as a letter from employer and/or recent pay stubs.

We sent in three years of tax receipts. I might have sent in a copy of my teaching contract as well. Our interview was potentially waived, so we are waiting to see if they require anything more as proof.

Oh wow, okay, thanks everyone. Never requested a tax transcript so not even sure how to do that or how long it takes? I didn't do that for proof at the Embassy in Cairo when I showed proof of my income. Guess I will just send extra evidence to be on the safe side like I did for the Embassy.

You can also go in person if you have a local IRS office.
