Hi...I know that this has been asked several times before...Does the immigration reform do any good to us who are patiently waiting for something good to happen...Is there any change going to happen in our category if at all the reform takes place...or is it just applicable to the employment category and the illegal immigrants...

What's immigration reform again??? Oh well, the guy (Obama) who pushed for it and gave hopes to millions of legal and illegal immigrants, had to give up reforming the system for political reasons. Sorry buddy, but immigration reform ain't gonna happen anytime soon. The republicans killed it a long time ago and Obama buried it not a long time ago.

Yes i know...there is a very slim chance for the reform...i just wanted to if the FB category is included in the reform...

The only effect family visa will see if deep reform happens is many of the classes will probably go away along with DV lottery.

I've read some news that he is going to make an excutive order about immigration reform after election day and or before the year ends. I'm also updating myself about immigration reform so I always read some news on the internet.

It would.. We won't automatically get current but more visas will be given to f2a as a result of the cancellation of some other categories.

This will make the process for f2a way faster than what it is noe

I wish people knew a little bit more about how the US government works. The President isn't at fault here, Congress is. They are the ones responsible for changing the law, the President is only responsible for enforcing it. It is incorrect to blame the President for something he has no control over.

Now that being said, Obama did say he is going to tackle immigration AFTER the elections. If he acts on it now it would hurt the elections for key senate races for Democrats. If Republicans take over both houses, you can say goodbye to any chance of immigration reform.

If Obama issues an executive order on immigration, I'm not sure what it would entail. He has received a lot of heat for DACA, but that is something within his power as the executor of the law. He can choose whether to enforce them or not with some discretion. Changing immigration law no, but by issuing another executive order, this will (hopefully) force congress to act on immigration.

I don't want to get into a political discussion, but please learn how the government works before you blame one man for the inactions of 535 others, ie the house and the senate who are the ones responsible for these things. Thanks.
