Hi All

I am in urgent need of advise please!

My fiance is the USC, I am based in Germany

The evidence they require for the I-134 form, my fiance does not have any

He is basically self employed, but has no record of earnings, so filing taxes will be difficult (he was earning a wage until 2011, when the company he worked for went bust and he was out of a job. He worked on and off doing temp and part time jobs (moslty sales - commission based), while also earning an income as a self employed contractror.

The contractor job was/is all paid in cash or a few times by Chq and he is still doing that now, but no paperwork to back this up, he makes enough to pay his bills

He has no receipts, no W2's (I think he found one or two W2 from 2011, maybe 2012), he moved and lost a lot in the process and then was actually (did) move here to Germany to live, so got rid of a lot of stuff and seems now a lot of it was W2 and receipts he had but now in error was thrown away) then we both figured we would rather be in the USA so filed for K1

At the moment he is not working on a job, but will be in 2 months as a contractor which will pay well but again will be cash and he wont get a receipt or nothing from the person hiring him

What do we do?

Do I go to the interveiw (which will be in frankfurt) as say he is currently unemployed?

We have a co-sponsor (our friend) who makes $83k, I have his documents already (Last years Tax document, letter from his employer confirming his incoming, and I think even his W2) - he also put on the form 250K in assists, more than enough to help sponsor me.

Do we see if he can get a letter from this guy he is meant to work for in 2 months confirming work?

Does he HAVE to give a last years tax document?

HELP!! PLEASE!!! I just want to cry, I am crying!!

thanks in advance for any advice.

Sounds like his first port of call would be his Accountant.

First of all, take a deep breath and don't panic. It's harder to solve things when you are too nervous.

Does Germany require the USC to be the sponsor or can you just have a co-sponsor? If that's ok, then in my opinion you should just use your co-sponsor. There is no need to go through the stress of proving your fiance's income, then.

He has no tax filings.

Will have to be sorted. Better start now.
