When is everyone stop defining people by their sex or color. Why can't we just define Hillary by the issues. Yet many 100's of 1000's will still line up and vote for her because she is a woman.

Voting for someone just because of race or sex got us in the mess we are in now.

some folks are of the notion that the only reason obama is in office is because he's black. probably a bunch more now than when he first started campaigning for presidency. a lot of his supporters (of all races) were very excited that he might become president and he does in fact, have a black father. it's a big step for us as a country. so obama's race in tandem with his platform, which stirred many americans that needed (still need) a voice, and his inability to deliver on many of the promises made during his campaign, is what has led to this backlash. he ain't near as popular as he used to be. and if hilary is elected, she'll go through the same sort of deal. it's just the sort of baby steps non white men have to take in order to make headway in the game.

don't get me wrong. i'm not saying that was the only reason that he was elected. i think most folks really wanted to have a black president and they supported his platform. i think the majority of this country would have liked to put our racial issues to rest and some of that majority were naive enough to believe electing obama could do the trick. i wanted him to end iraq, guantanamo - i certainly didn't want all the drones. i would have supported him strictly on the issue of healthcare alone in comparison to what republicans offered.
