I-130 Form. D2 "Have you ever before filed a petition for this or any other alien

Hi,

I have one question about the I-130 form which I'm completing. Section D2 asks

"Have you ever before filed a petition for this or any other alien?".

Does this just relate to I-130 petitions? If so my answer would be NO

I submitted a N600K form for our son which was successful (he now has US citizenship and a US passport). Should I select YES in reply this question and provide details of the N600K application? Or is that not relevant?

Thanks for the help

The N600K is not a petition, it is an application. And it is not your application, it is your son's application.......so no need to put this on your I-130 petition.

I agree with the above, I wouldn't put it down. This applies to like I-130's and I-129F's, petitions like that. If you petitioned your son with an I-130 previously, then you would put the I-130.

This does not constitute legal advice.

select YES and give details of the previous petition as required.

We just started our IR-1/CR-1 process after we failed in the K-1 and we answered YES in that section and gave details.
