Does anyone here know the protocols for NEXUS after the person has immigrated (POE)? How quickly do they need to update their info, can you still use NEXUS in conjunction with a greencard or does that eliminate the ability to use the NEXUS lanes?

Thanks

You can use nexus, you can also use the passid to sign up for pre-check. What you need to do is the next time you travel to a nexus place, stop in and add the green card to your nexus. I didn't update mine for almost a year because I hadn't flown to Canada in that long and my local cbp at the airport said they couldn't do it. (Calgary cbp said they could and we're being lazy.) You can still use the nexus lines after you add your green card.

Every time anything big updates for your immigration process, ie. new permanent resident green card, or change to 10 yr green card, then Naturalization, you need to stop in at the Nexus office with all the new paperwork. It feels like I've visited them on a regular basis for the last four years ;-) At the Calgary airport Nexus office I just held up my green card and my Canadian passport against the glass and they let me in.

Hi, I will be applying for my AOS, so I wont be travelling home to Canada for awhile. So once I receive my conditional green card and next time I am in Vancouver, I walk over to the Nexus office and get it updated? Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes you can and no you don't.

Took me almost a year to update mine and it was fine. I love the benefits the NEXUS provides me in the USA actually. You can use it for pre-check if you fly in the USA so you get faster lines through security. In Atlanta it saved me over 30 mins. My husband doesn't have anything, even works for the FAA, and I was holding up the plane until the last minute for him.
