Yeah, I understood what you meant but I just wrote it a little different. Both say the same thing but with different approaches. 1942.gif

I knew what you were saying, AI just wanted clarification. ;)

GCs arrive yet?

The dreaded 221(g). There is a cure but it comes in so many different forms (pun intended). 1943.gif

you got that right! Sharon took care of her first re-medical visit yesterday. She was told to return on the 24th because SLEC was over booked for Sputum tests. Since she had previous Xrays they told her they didn't need to redo them that she just had to redo the sputum tests and then wait again.

Medical is valid for one year. The visa is valid for 6 months, with the "clock" starting on the date of the medical.

Hi, Hank. My fiancee finished her medical yesterday. Everything went well. But when she left, they told her the medical is valid for 2-3 months. Is that correct? And what does that mean? Does she have 2-3 months to get her visa? Or does she have to be in the US in 2-3 months? Please help.

Is it 2 or 3 months?   Real answer for visa purposes is 6 months

YMMV

Did your fiancee complete the TB SPUTUM culture?   That would be the only reason there would be a shorter validity that I know of.  Otherwise the medical is valid for 6 months from the first day of the medical exam.     (it would appear the person at SLEC is giving out bad info)

Once the visa is issued there will be an expiration date on the visa, your fiancee will need to clear POE before the expiration date.   The visa is valid for a maximum of 6 months from the date of the medical.

No, she didn't have TB Sputem sample taken. Is it possible that because at the time of her medical, she still didn't have an interview schedule date, that the 2-3 months they are referring to is for her to have her interview?

Is it possible that because at the time of her medical, she still didn't have an interview schedule date, that the 2-3 months they are referring to is for her to have her interview? Maybe that was their concern. That she makes sure she has her interview soon after her medical.

No clue what the person was thinking.

The medical is valid for 6 months, and the visa is valid for up to 6 months .. starting from the 1st day of the medical.

Did you pay your visa fee already?

I'm thinking that they want to make sure she has her interview ASAP... because if she waits 2-3 months, she may need to have another medical. I may just call St. Lukes to clarify. But does that sound reasonable?

Copy that. Her interview is scheduled on June 18. That's not too long after her medical, right?

You should be just fine.  With a little luck she could have her visa before the 4th of July.

Is CFO done?
