Hi guys im new here! My name is Kim and I'm from Philippines. Just wanted to ask if you guys experienced what im experiencing! LOL

Well we got and E-mail saying that our NOA2 was approved on August 20 then received the hard copy August 26.

And some says we should wait until the USCIS status will change to "SHIPPED" before calling NVC.

Have you guys waited for the status update before calling?

Hi there! Welcome to the forum! :)

It can approximately take 2-5 weeks for NVC to process an approved I-129f and assign a case number. Your USC fiance can contact NVC in about 10 business days from receipt of NOA2 hard copy and see if your files have been processed. http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/nvc/nvc-contact-information.html

-Of course, you guys can also give it a try to call before then as some did, but just be mindful that it may take some time for the files to be shipped, reviewed, etc. Once you have the MNL case #, you can pay for your visa processing fee and then schedule your interview appointment.

We waited about a week to call nvc and they told us the same thing that it takes 25 days for them to receive the I-129f from USCIS.

But we kept calling everyday after a week and received our case number 11 days after USCIS shipped our petition to nvc.

The best time to call is early in the morning when they first open for business. 8:00am eastern time and 7:00 Pacific time. If busy hang up and call again, I had to do that several times before you hear the phone ringing, then prepare to be on hold for about 30 to 45 minutes!!

Good luck to everyone on your journey!!!!
