Hi VJ friends,

Yesterday I sent my expedite request due to error by NVC to NVC and to the American embassy in the Dominican Republic. I heard back from the AE in the Dominican Republic. They basically said that it has to go through NVC first. Lucky that I have sent them to both places. My question is; How long until I hear from NVC? Is it really going to take 60 days to hear back from them? If it is, then I don't really see the point on requesting it because hopefully, from now to 60 days, I will be paying my IV fee bills and filing out the IV forms. If anyone has have any experience on requesting expedite, please share the details. I am very curious to know how it works. Thanks ?

I requested for an expedite before we got our case number.that was in aug.6th. And i got my case number in . week. Then they replied in aug.20th and asking for 2 foreign numbers (number of the principal applicant) they emailed me again yesterday (aug.28th) im still waiting for the result. So it wont take 60 days for them to reply.

My expedite was approved on 8/20 and sent to the embassy on 8/21. Therefore, yours won't take 60 days

Hi,

I sent an expedite request on July 23rd, my case was not at the NVC yet they received my case on July 28th but it was not a problem because they took a week to reply back. So as I just mentioned on the 23rd of July I sent an email to the NVC then July 30th they emailed me saying that my request for expedite is under review and as soon as they hear from the embassy they will contact me with a decision approved/denied. I never hear back from NVC I thought my request was denied. I keep checking my email account and nothing lol...until I checked my email and was not expecting to see my case# IIN# on August 11th, as soon as saw my case # I went to ceac.state.gov and completed the DS 261 then on the 13th my AOS fees was available and paid right away. Then I keep checking ceac.state.gov and saw that the current processing site says "Santo Domingo" I called NVC and asked and they said that my case was in transit to the embassy because it was approved for expedite, the same day the DS 260 was available but not the fees. I submitted the DS 260 on August 21st my case was sent on August 9th and was received August 18th. I emailed the embassy on the 18th and they email me back on the 19th with my interview for Sept 16th. On August 29th I received a letter from NVC stating that my case was accepted for expedite.

I hope this help!

Did they send you any instructions for the medical exam before the interview date? My case was shipped on 8/21 and I'm still waiting
