Hi Vj members,

Does anyone know for sure if a police certificate is required from Pakistan or not. If it is, do you get one from police headquarter or your local police station. Is there any special form that you have to use for it.

I will appreciate your feedback.

Police records are not needed from Pakistan.

Police Records

Not available. Pakistan has no nationwide tracking system in place for criminal activities. Police Character Certificates are available for a fee from District Coordinating Offices. However, they are not an accurate reflection of an individual's criminal record. An applicant who has committed a crime in one district may be able to obtain a clean Character Certificate from that district or another. Given the inaccuracy of these certificates, they are not required for consular processing.

NVC website says its not required from pakistan as its not authentic,,but on the other hand they send checklist for the police certificate too. and people end up waiting more time than usual....so its a better idea to get one as this is not too difficult to get. I got mine so easily, thanks to kpk police. I think in some cities its a headache to get one but you dont have any other option...

THIS IS HOW I GOT IT

Fill out the form (every city has a different Police Character Certificate pattern)

two prints

2 pictures

passport copy (attested)

NIC copy (attested)

A stamp paper (deceleration) they have this in KACHEHRY

take it to DPO office (they will mark it to your local police station)

Go to your local councilor (he will knowledge your good character and write on the back of stamp paper)

now take these papers to pocal police station (they will keep it and will write the report on the back of stamp paper)

than these papers go back DPO and after DPO signature and stamp you get one certificate and they keep the rest of papers.....

Yes, that is true, we need police certificate, though NVC written page says as said by NLR(A great fellow on visajourny/ and I m very thankful for this fellow how helping internationally, every body, he is a earthly angle for all of us ) The procedure explained by Sohailkhan is the correct and the most easiest way is that go to the police DPO office they very helpful, they help u. The Punjab police is dealing this certificate issuance in a very professional and comfortabe manner, give them respect, they will give u respect. In usual situation if u r confirm Pakistani( not from neighbor countries, entering Pakistan and so called claiming Pakistani, u will not having any difficulty. Remember attach high school certificate, if u have.two affidavit statements of neighbors, who knows u,,,,, and that's it.

Police certificate in Pakistan: Yesterday my family member went to get the police clearance certificate. how quick the process was completed !!!!!!!?..... My brother did not complete his car parking process( Parking, paying parking fee and walking out to join the family) YET...and he saw the applicant with the family members is coming out already after completing the police certificate process... And that happend in Lahore... The capital of provincial Government of the Punjab!!!!

The process is simple: Go to the DPO office, get two forms with DHL enval. Pay the fee for the courier service,( they will send the certificate via that service to your mailing address)fill the forms, the waiting area and the staff are very comfortable and respectful. Submit your NIC COPY(2) , PASSPORT COPY(1) The COPY OF NIC OF applicant's father and that's it, go to the window, they will get/the papers and electronic/ computerized photo and u will be given a printed receipt with a photo on it. They will tell u that u will receive the certificate by courier service within 7 to 10 days .... That's it. If somebody will provide the already filled up forms, All takes less than 10 minutes!!!!!!

I see you've completed your process and hence are in a good position to tell me if they actually asked for the police certificate during the process? It will help us a lot. Thanks!
