Dear Friends good day,

01/07/2014 - Met

04/18/2014 - Engaged

I am a bit concerned since person on this forum from the same country and circumstances have gotten their NOA2 after a month of Initial Review Processing. National Service Center is Nebraska.

I will highly appreciate your input about what to expect.

Thanks a lot in advance,

One month? Must have been input error or expedite. Expect to wait 6 months for NOA2.

Getting approval after one month is HIGHLY unlikely for I-130. It seems to be closer to normal for I-129F. I would keep an eye on the processing times on the VJ site : http://www.visajourney.com/content/times

Good luck! :)

I think the confusion might be from a random load of people filing from abroad around April 2014 who had I-130s approved in around 2 weeks (I'm included in that). It looks like it was just a random selection, but most of us shared in common the following: filing from abroad around March/April 2014 and routed to CSC.

We were exceptionally lucky and, besides having sent in what I think to be a beautifully put together packet, did nothing else special (asking for expedited request, etc.). The normal waiting time is around 6 months and even that seems to be short and if there are no RFEs.

Good luck and keep up the positive spirit!

I heard anywhere from a 5-6 month wait on the i-130 approval then i heard 6-7 for the whole thing. It real just depends on FATE at this point. I am at 2.5 months and it really sucks. I am now thinking the end of this month or September if we are lucky we will get something. End of October is our 5 month.

You have only been waiting 1.5 months....I would wait until end of October or November if you are LUCKY to get something other than that December/January is when yours should be approved.
