I'm in the same situation, my travel history says I departed the country but I did not, I have been here since 2010 that's a 4 year overstay. Omg I hope that this won't be a problem. I'm kind of freaking out now

In what way does it say you departed?

There's nothing to worry about with the overstay or your passport, unless you deliberately tampered with it.

It's not the overstay I'm concerned about but the fact that they might think I left the country and returned without inspection.

They won't. That line of thinking is just a red herring and not applicable to this situation.

I have seen someone with 27 years of overstay on this board. As I said, these records already existed, it's just now that people have access to them, and people are jumping to random conclusions.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

But why would you think that?

There are thousands of overstays that AOS, and their passports have a "depart date" on just like yours.

Now you can go to CBP website and check your travel history. They have your travel history for the past 5 years, there says I left the US in November 2010 which is not true because obviously I'm still here. So is nothing to do with overstaying just their records states that I left the country.

I think you are right, before I wouldn't even have this info. But any way I contact the airline to see if they can send me some documentation just in case something comes up. I was not on that god damn flight! lol
