NVC Expedite Request

Our CR-1 application has been at the NVC since May 29 2014 (10 weeks or 71days) which seems to be double the average timelines i'm seeing on VJ

Is there a procedure to get your case expedited based on financial hardship when we are already this far through the NVC process?

NVC Timeline:

2014-05-29 - SENT DS-261 CHOICE OF ADDRESS & AGENT (online)
2014-05-30 - PAID AOS fee (online)
2014-06-10 - SENT Affidavit of Support I-864EZ (email)

2014-07-15 - PAID IV application fee (online)

2014-07-17 - SENT DS-260 (Online & Emailed support documents)
2014-08-03 - Received AOS I-864EZ checklist

2014-08-06 - Re-Sumbitted AOS I-864 (Email)
2014-08-08 - Phoned NVC confirmed package was rec'd (Aug 07) & i was informed that estimated time to review the documents has increased to 60 business days.

the current review time puts us getting a response near halloween...

I guess try and find out is all you can do. Must be a hardship on the petitioner but that still isn't a very valid reason. NVC is more strict to approve than USCIS. But try all they can say is no. And I would site that you been there since May extra long time.

not sure why it is taking so long ~ every step we go through with them they say 20-30 business days. now that we have fixed the items on the AOS checklist and resubmitted they are saying 60 business days...feeling like we have been flagged...we are at 460 days since we mailed the intial petition.

Did you wait to do enroll the case online until after receiving something from NVC? All they have given us so far is the second I-797 saying the petition was approved.

There's no enrolling at NVC. Read the NVC process Wiki in my signature to get how things go for NVC processing. It usually takes 4 to 8 weeks to get case and case# at NVC. With the now 60 days expect more to the 8 weeks before you hear a word.
