Consulate Review: Montreal, Canada
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 10, 2015
Embassy Review : interview was Feb 27 2015
arrived at 745am
inside the inner door - checked in with receptionist and showed her the confirmation of loomis registration, passed her review and lined up for the security check.
through security and in the waiting room at 755am

missed the first elevator up, was first on the second elevator. joined the queue for the receptionist, she reviewed my documents and then i sat down to wait for my number to be called.

930am - called to first window to submit documents. told to sit back down and wait some more
1030am - called up for the interview

interview questions: when, how did we meet; have either been married before; where do we plan to live...no surprises. he passed me the welcome to US letter after about 5-10min.

overall, the interview was just like the rest of the process: hurry up and wait. We are still amazed that it took almost two years and 5hour flight to montreal for an interview that lasted <10minutes.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
