I don't know.

Darth,

I am thinking if it is possible for me to apply my wife through my current GC? But I got my green Card through ex-marriage. Will that be a problem?

I think your best option is to wait till the eleventh of September to see what this is all about before putting sub-optimal back-up plans into action.

You did miss something. You need to read the entire thread for proper context!

I'm confused. Maybe I missed something. You are applying based on marriage to a USC but your wife is not a USC?

Nope. I did not have any children prior to my ex marriage. My application is based on LPR through marriage. Marriage ended in my second years. She cheated on me and I had enough. Got remarried after 2 years with my current wife.

I did read it. This was what confused me.

- Worried_joel married wife 1 who is a United States citizen

- Wife 1 files for an Adjustment of Status for Worried_joel

- Worried_joel receives Legal Permanent Resident status; conditions are eventually lifted, or never applied; things do not work out between Worried_joel and Wife 1 and they part ways

- Worried_joel meets and marries Wife 2 who is not a United States citizen and, based on the Legal Permanent Resident status he gained through marriage to Wife 1, and presumably satisfying the 5-year residency requirement, files his N-400 application to naturalise
