just got an email from the USCIS asking for a faxed letter from Johan's potential employer. At Day 76, what are the odds that we've actually slowed the process down by creating an RFE through an expedite request?!

That's not really an RFE though.. once they get the letter it's smooth sailing.

I'm already sorta bitter that people who filed weeks after we did have gotten their approvals (september filers?!?! boooooooo haha), and now I am being hyper sensitive that it'll take even longer since we've messed with it. does that make sense? Just got off the phone with Johan. he's worried about the same thing! :(

Haven't I been saying that the while time? I totally understand how you feel. It really sucks but if the guy truly wants Johan he will work with you. Just light a fire under him.

i got the same RFE just about 2 weeks after I received the NOA.

At day 76, it seems your case has been delayed too long.

08-21-2008: First met with my wife.

12-28-2009: Got Married!!!

07-30-2014: AOS Package sent (i-485, i-130, i-765, i-131)

08-01-2014: NOA received

08-13-2014: RFE received for i-485

08-22-2014: RFE Sent back

09-08-2014: RFE received by USCIS (usps sucks, they almost lost my rfe package)

09-17-2014: i-485 is now ready for interview scheduling

09-19-2014: EAD Card/ Document Production

09-26-2014: EAD Delivered, yay!

10-06-2014: Received email notification for interview scheduled for Dec 12th, 2014.

10-14-2014: Received hard copy i-495 interview schedule in the mail.

12-12-2014: Interview on the Long Island City Immigration office. APPROVED!

it's extremely frustrating. I really wish I knew the inside story behind why some are so dang quick, and others take an age to approve. The bright side to this whole thing is I can support us without him working, but he needs his CDL and we want to travel in the near-ish future.

I do hope you get something soon. The wait is frustrating, only thing I can think of is that they dont touch august apps til after the 15th your went in early by the 15th it was at the bottom of the bin, who knows what the do there it is all just wait and see. I understand the wanting to travel part though!! Good luck!!

I called to immigration this morning even thought it is just the 70 day. The only thing the officer said was "they are people who sent the papers in March and they are still waiting. The process is around 6 months and up".......

Yea they are pretty similar! I've been keeping an eye out to see if you get approved for EAD in the hope that mine won't be too far behind!

EAD arrived today, despite all mail from USCIS to date being mailed to our PO Box, the EAD came directly to the house, little weird but I am just happy to have it in my hand!! Hope everyone will have theirs before this month ends.
