Service Request Reply .. !?

Hi all, filed an i-130 PD Jan 2.. so I filed a service request .. this was the response I got ... has anyone else experienced this or should I be freaking out?

We have received your inquiry stating that you believe your case is beyond our projected processing times. USCIS makes every effort to process cases within the projected timeframes and in the order in which they were received; however, your case has not cleared all required security checks at this time. We cannot provide a specific date on which a final decision will be made on your case.

Hello fellow Canuck. Security checks takes anywhere between 1-3 months. In rare cases it goes above 3 months. We had the same response to service request and got approved a month after.

It means they haven't worked on your case yet and keep waiting.

thanks for the response. this forum is about the only thing keeping me sane right about now .. is there any point in calling and hassling them or just ride the wave ?

I would give it another month. If nothing happens by then, have the USC talk to their congressman's liaison about what's going on with the case. That generally seems to help.

i have read in various threads this happening to others. currently I'm following nov, dec, jan and feb filers. you are not alone but be happy enough time has passed and that your next up. some of us haven't reached the post 6 month mark and cannot process a service request.

I filed in December and have the same message. Hopefully they finish soon! This is taking forever!
