What documents to send in to NVC

Hey there...

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with sending in documents to the NVC for the IV package. I know that the visajourney guide and NVC websites state that birth certificates, marriage certificates, police certifiates 2x2 photos, etc need to be sent into NVC.

But what if we don't send these through to them? Will we get checklisted before anything else can happen? Or can my wife bring with her these documents to her visa interview?

Please search for Saylin's NVC wiki. It has detailed the entire NVC process. You must submit all the documents to NVC otherwise they will not continue processing your case.

As above the originals or certified copies (copies from original issuer) must be submitted to NVC or else you will not get a case complete or interview date.

Before they used to allow people to bring the documents to the interview. I'm not sure when because for some people that have petitioned other family members before, this procedure is fairly new. They're doing it like this to avoid longer waiting times for interviews because what would happen is that hundreds of people would show up to the interview without some of the relevant documents and it would just add an unnecessary burden to those who came prepared. I will provide you a link with the relevant docs for the UK.
