My wife and I will have a two day layover in Paris on our way home in a couple of weeks. My original plan was for us to take the train & Metro to our hotel & back, but since she's having pretty bad morning sickness right now that will probably be out of the question. Is there some kind of "limousine" service like at JFK where we can hire a large car (or better, minivan since we will have a lot of luggage) that will be cheaper than getting a taxi?

Your hotel may have some kind of service (kind of like a Courtyard Marriott shuttle or something), depending on the size of the hotel. I would check with the hotel. A taxi will run you approximately 35 Euros to the center of Paris. Where are you staying?

There is a bus that goes to Opera there for like 8 euros and it's a very smooth ride (and sitting down). I get really car sick and I was fine on it. If you're staying around Opera or could get a taxi from there that could be one option maybe?

Good suggestion - Opera is right in the middle of everything (well, close enough to Place de la Concorde anyways), and a taxi from there to anywhere in Paris probably won't be more than 15-20 Euros.

Oh yeah PS the bus is called Roissybus and there is one like every 15 min. Also back from Opera.

Cabs are really expensive from CDG

PS CDG is the worst airport on the planet. Series of tubes my #######

We are staying in that area, at the Tulip Inn Orange La Fayette Hotel, near the Cadet Metro station.

We'll see how she feels. The main thing is that she doesn't have to walk a lot dragging luggage if she's feeling sick. If she's feeling OK, the train/Metro is the most fun (and probably cheapest).

Roissybus is your cheapest option, or at least it was in November last time I took it, and it pulls up to the terminals. But the train and metro are totally fun, agreed. I hope whatever you guys do you get to have a great visit to Paris.

2E is actually a really nice terminal (now!). The best Duty Free in the entire airport.

Hi there - There's a lot of shuttle services that will take you from CDG to your location for about 25 euros per person. Not that cheap, but maybe worth it in these circumstances. You can Google "shuttle Charles de Gaulle" or "shuttle Roissy" for lots of options.
