Since you didnt fill up the g1145 you just have to wait for your NOA1 in the mail. Some take almost a month to receive it. Where are you filing from? But if you want to be really sure you can call them.

Hi there all. I have filled for my wife in the Philippines and got my NOA1 July 18. It has been sent to the Nebraska service center.

I'm wondering about the timeframes reported on here, just a little confused.

When it says USCIS is processing in 5 months, is that BEFORE it goes to the NVC, or total processing including the NVC?

I see timelines that have interviews set up 7 months or so from filing date, so is the NVC a faster process than the USCIS review?

Thanks for any help. This process has my head spinning like Linda Blair!

That is before it goes out to NVC. If you were looking at Philippine filers from previous months it was because they were auto expedited due to typhoon Yolanda last year. Thats why it may seem quick for them to get to NVC stage. And yes, once you're at the NVC stage it is faster as long as you have complete documents & submit them on time. Usually takes almost 2-3 months.

Oh wow we have the same NOA1 date... But mine was routed to TSC... i hope and pray we will not wait that long for NOA2... Since we got the first noticed i can't help checking my status everyday.

Waiting makes me nervous.

I was hoping an answer ... :-(

The G1145 is a form that USCIS use so that they can inform you about the status of your papers. It is NOT a mandatory form. Have you received your hard copy of notice of action-NoA1 (I-797C) yet? It usually takes anywhere from 7-8 days (most likely business days) or more. Just be patient. if USCIS receives it, then they have it and will work on it. As soon as you receive your NoA1 you can use the receipt number and register it to their site for notification of status which can be found here. You have to make an account first then add your receipt number.

EDIT: If you didn't get your official receipt by the end of this week, I would call USCIS and ask for your papers. 1-800-375-5283 Customer Service.

Ii have noticed a change on my case status on the USCIS website! It now says "On Aug 6, 2014 Your address regarding you I-130 has been changed"

I am trying to find the post I have seen regarding this message. I believe it may possibly mean the 130 has been reviewed and accepted and is moving on to the NVC. Either that or it has been transfered to another service center. Any ideas?

Have any other July filers noticed this message?

I have had a strange and possibly good experience. We posted our I-130 from Australia and it arrived at Chicago 14 July 2014. Our NOA1 is postmarked 17 July 2014 (we did not get an email despite lodging G-1145, but no matter). We received the NOA1 in Australia on 5 August 2014. We checked the site with our receipt number and it says APPROVED now! What in the heck... I think that might mean our NOA2 (says posted on 28 July 2014) is on its way but I will believe it when I see it. I am starting to gather stuff for the next phase.

Good luck everyone.
