Hi Mam/sir,

With regards to Form I-131, I just want to ask, is it OK to submit Form I-131 with incomplete informations? I mean, as of the moment, I don't know if I'm really going to used it or not, most probably I will used it "In case of emergency". So some of the informations in Part 2, 3, 4, & 7 of Form 1-131, is "Unknown". So it is possible, to submit it with incomplete information but once we have the info we are just going to forward to USCIS, some of the information that are lacking for Form I-131?

I hope anyone can help me. Thanks! God bless..

You don't fill out part 4 of the I-131. After part 3 #4, it tells you to skip to part 7, unless you are a DACA applicant.

For date and length, you can leave them blank and then hand-write Unknown after printing out the form. Part 7 you mark more than one trip. No explanation or reason for wanting the AP is needed when filing with a pending I-485.

Hi Mam/ Sir,

I just have a question in form I-131. Is it OK to submit an incomplete Form I-131 together with my I-485 package since we don't know yet, if I am really going to used Form I-131? There are a lot of part there in the Form I-131 that are "UNKNOWN" as the moment, since I don't know if I am going to leave the US while my AOS is pending.

I hope anyone could help me. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply KayDeeCee.

But how about for the required documentations that need to submit to USCIS if you are an "Advance Parole" it states that, http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-131instr.pdf <== Please see attach link:

c. Advance Parole Document

If you are in the United States, you must attach:

  1. (1) A copy of any document issued to you by USCIS showing your present status, if any, in the United States; and

  2. (2) An explanation or other evidence showing the circumstances that warrant issuance of an Advance Parole Document; or

  3. (3) If you are an applicant for adjustment of status, a copy of a USCIS receipt as evidence that you filed the adjustment application; or

How can I provide #2 & #3 requirements?

Thanks!

You don't. See the 'or'? You provide the explanation or the receipt for filing the I-485. If someone filed for the I-131 after they filed the I-485, then they would not need the explanation and would send in the receipt from filing their I-485. Since you are filing the I-131 at the same time as the I-485, you of course have no need to, and cannot, provide a receipt of filing it. So, neither is needed when filing together.
