Well, I would like to believe that people would hire her, but I think the reality is that her presence in the workplace would be seen as a distraction to the workers and to productivity overall, leading to her not getting hired anywhere.

I can't see why, if she kept her head down and was prepared to work. If she hadn't tried to get back into media attention, I doubt anyone would have given it a second thought. Even if anyone had wondered if she was the Lewinski, that type of curiosity doesn't last long. This was old, old news and no reason to recycle it unless she wants to be in the media still. She didn't kill anyone, she just ####### sucked a sitting president. She was legally old enough to do it and she originally said she wanted to, even if afterwards she felt more coerced by the power of the man and his position into doing something she might not have otherwise considered. I can't see why anyone is really that interested in this any longer. Give her a job, leave her alone.

Keeping her head down is what destroyed her life.

I doubt she's capable of being anything other than "Monica Lewenski" at this point. I wouldn't hire her, it's not worth the trouble.

But in today's culture that could be a gold mine

No, what destroyed her life (if one can call it that, and let's be honest, she's not down and out) is the insatiable appetite by the general public in seeking salacious stories for titillation. She made a poor choice in agreeing to service the president. Most people that make poor sexual choices do not have to live down such a public furore. I agree that these stories are in the public interest but not to the point where privacy is destroyed, however, the participants in the 'drama' do have their own parts to play in how much detail was revealed as well. What surprises me is that she wants to enter the fray again. She doesn't have to, she could have carried on in the relative obscurity that she had been doing up until this book launch deal thing. This is her choice, she is now in her 40's, I do not think we can call this the foolishness of youth. You can either live off the back of your infamy or attempt to leave it in the past. I don't think she's leaving it in the past so she'll have to take the rough with the smooth in the pursuit of a public career.

What I do think, is that the general public hasn't decided if she is a victim or a seeker of attention. I don't think she is either, but I do think she should recognise the reality of her position and accept the limitations that that places on her ability to sway the public mood. What has she actually achieved to deserve public approval? We should be more discriminating in what we consider news and who we elevate to celebrity status. Celebrity should be acquired because you have achieved something notable, that required effort striving for a goal. The current definition of celebrity is moronic.

I think she initially did something at young age that many people do, but doing it the the Commander in Chief brought national attention and a major scandal. It it was a home town guy, maybe it was known around town and that would have been it. Lots of guy and girls have done things like this and after a bit, it dies down and is forgotten. To some degree, she must have enjoyed the limelight. Now she is old enough to make choices and she is doing it again, this time for publicity. She could have let the past go and done the best she could to put it behind her and get on with life. Now she appears to be seeking attention. I have zero interest in the past where this story is concerned. I would rather have heard how she made a good life for herself in spite of all the attention and negatives she had gotten before. A success story would have been more newsworthy, IMO.
