Didn't put a# in the check, it will cause problem?

The Check is cashed on 6.26. The immigration website didn't said to put a number in check

I just check it, it did said need to put a# on the back of the check. But I didn't, I check the uscis direct debt from my account, although I sent them a personal check. Do you think it will cause a problem?

I think that if they cashed it, then they didn't find a problem with it. I'm sure people forget it all the time.

I think the purpose of the A# is if somehow your check gets separated from the package, they still know who's application to credit.the funds to. I suspect the person processing the check verifies to make sure it is on there and if not, write it on themselves.

Look at the bank and look at the check image - you might see they stamped it or wrote it on themselves. Like a previous poster mentioned - if they cashed it, I doubt there's a problem.

they do cash it by direct debt, they didn't cash the check.(I mailed the check), my check has the account number in it. but my address in the check is different from the current address. I have heard from them about the interview date yet. I mailed it June 20, delivered June 23, text/maile for NOA June 25, checking the online status, they said They mailed the NOA letter on June 24. I didn't get the NOA letter yet. start to worry about it.

Well you're not going to hear about an interview yet - you're ahead of yourself. If they mailed it on the 24th that may mean they put it in the office mail that day, that doesn't even mean it made it out of the building until the next day for all we know, its only the 30th and there has been a weekend inbetween. I wouldn't worry just yet. The next thing you're expecting after that is your Biometrics appt letter - interview is way down the line.

Whether the check came out as a cashed check or a direct debit - it doesn't matter - they took the money and that's good! The address on the check doesn't matter - its what's on your application that counts.

yes, you are right, they haven't scheduled the biometrics appt yet. wish they have put in the system which my bill is paid.

Thanks for everyone. I got the noa letter today. They said the balance is 0 . It means they have charge my bank account .
