Canadian Consulate Interview Location

Hi guys,

I'm a little confused as to where you schedule interviews for the Canadian Consulate. On Calgary's website it says that they do immigrant and nonimmigrant visa interviews but I also know that Montreal is where they process the paperwork and send out the packets from.

"All visa interviews at the U.S. Consulate General in Calgary are handled on an appointment basis only. Individuals seeking general information about U.S. visas or needing to schedule a visa appointment may do so either online or by calling (403) 800-1194 (calling from the Calgary area), or (703) 439-2319 (from elsewhere in Canada and the United States)."

Does anyone have experience with this and can help guide me in the right direction? My fiance lives in Calgary so that would be ideal, but I'm not understanding if you can do your interview there or not. Thanks in advance.

I don't think so. I think it's either Vancouver or Montreal. You should call to inquire where would be the interview.

I believe I put Calgary on our interview location when sending in our I-129F. Do you know if I can call in to make a chance on that or should I wait and see if I get a RFE?

Montreal or Vancouver are your only two choices.

They will automatically reassign it to the correct Consulate.
