Hi everyone. I understand that my fiancee's birth certificate has to be translated to English for the AOS interview. Since I speak and write English fluently, can I simply translate it myself and sign it? Or does I have to bring the birth certificate to a translation center and have it "officially" translated (which is very expensive). Please inform, thanks

You can translate it yourself. At the bottom of the translation you have to enter the below statement and have it notarized.

I, YOUR NAME, certify that the above document is a true & accurate translation from YOUR language to English.
