My wife has been approved and has received her Adjustment of Status card. I understand she can now return to her native country for a short visit. Her K1 visa that she used to travel to the US has now expired. What procedure does she need to follow in order to travel outside the US? Thank you

This is just for informational clarification purposes only. The fact that your wifes K-1 is now expired is a moot point. Since a K-1 visa is a single entry visa, the moment she entered the country, it for all intent and purpose became null and void at that very moment. She could have not used it for any subsequent entry.

YMMV

gericked,

First time I've heard the Permanent Resident ID card referred to as "Adjustment of Status card" - most people call it the Green Card.

She needs to take it with her when she travels, and show it to the US Immigration officer at the POE when she re-enters the USA.

Please forgive me for my ignorance. So, all she needs is the 551 card(Green Card) to gain entry to the US? However, what does she need to enter Russia? She has her Russian Passport? Does she need to apply for a Visa from the Russian embassy? She is still a citizen. Thank you for your guidance.
