Need some assistance. My wife went to the interview on the 16th. The officer was apparently a young guy and was just going down his checklist and said to her "you don't have W-2's for your husband and father-in-law" so we will need those to complete the process. Problem is the guy didn't even look at the tax returns OR he would have seen we are both self employed independent contractors SO THERE ARE NO W-2 FORMS FOR US!!! Fast forward, I get the email from them saying send these documents via courier 2GO and get in line.

My email of explanation to them returned with "it could be 7 days" before anyone reads this. Then it could be 60 days from time they receive the info of the error via the courier. I have looked all over for phone numbers and all I seem to get is the call center or something with people reading off cue cards. Can anyone give me a number for the Manila embassy which might get me to a human who will listen and not punish my wife and I for THEIR mistake? I saw several posts on here from people who seem to be calling the embassy and actually talking to someone knowledgeable.

I sure need that number!! Thanks

BTW, did you attach any 1099's to your tax return? I remember reading an older post about a similar thing at USEM interview and as soon as the CO saw them it was suddenly okay. I'm a self-employed sub-contractor myself, and I definitely plan on including my 1099's. Stapled right on top, so it can't be missed.

I have tried all the normal numbers. Either busy, or got the recording saying all officers busy and call back. Couple days ago a Filipino from embassy calls my wife and when my wife tells her "do you understand he doesn't have W-2 the Filipino officer acted like she understood this over the phone, then to cover up their mistake told her "well, have him send I-864a for his MOTHER" lololol my mom is a housewife as is clearly showing in the tax return they had for my Dad and her income is SSI lolol Incompetence in our gov all over the world. Unreal!

12-15 hour time difference, and it is the weekend.

I agree it seems you got a newbie idiot for a CO... too bad.

When my wife had her interview I did not provide a tax return or W-2 ...approved. LOL!!
