To people who have been successful in their journey....

I'm curious what detail did you go to describing how you met on #18? I could answer this question in one sentence. But should I go into more detail of what kind of time we spent together after we met? When I returned to visit him? Etc?

I met my fiance while traveling in his country with friends....... we spent a few weeks together after that. I left and flew back a week later because I missed him. Then I left for the US and went back six months later...... and here I am. Should I mention all that (more well written of course) Or should I leave it all out except for exactly how we MET?

You definitely want to put all that good stuff in a seperate page. Proving that your relationship is real and you love him enough to marry him is what its all about! I also put a one liner on the form, or tell them to see attched form or something.

We wrote "see attached sheet" and I wrote a few paragraphs about our story on a separate sheet of paper.

We met while I was working there, my visa expired, I returned home, I went back twice, length of both trips, DATES, etc...

Short and sweet. I had a friend edit it for me and she told me to take out all of the lovey dovey stuff - so I did, and I stuck to the facts.

Some people answered in one or two sentences, some people used paragraphs, others --pages. Personally, I endorse a couple of succinct paragraphs indicating when/how/where you met, when you met in person, etc. with appropriate evidence to back up what you write. A Harlequin romance novel isn't necessary.

Hi,

I have yet to be approved, but have also not had an RFE yet (knock on wood!). I only wrote a line or two about how we met, and we used our "Letter of Intent(s)" to describe a bit more of how we met, etc.

Best of luck!
